Cardio Mistakes to Avoid for Better Results
When it comes to cardio, making certain mistakes can hinder progress and reduce results. One common error is overdoing it, especially without incorporating strength training. Excessive cardio can lead to muscle loss, slower metabolism, and burnout. It’s important to balance cardio with strength workouts to build muscle and improve overall fitness.
Another mistake is sticking to the same routine without variation. Doing the same exercises repeatedly can cause a plateau, as your body adapts to the routine. To prevent this, mix up your sessions by trying different exercises or changing the intensity and duration regularly.
Skipping proper warm-up and cool-down is another issue. Without warming up, your muscles aren’t prepared for exercise, increasing the risk of injury. Similarly, skipping a cool-down can lead to muscle stiffness and slower recovery.
Finally, relying solely on it for weight loss is a mistake. A balanced approach that includes a healthy diet and strength training will deliver better, more sustainable results.
